The much-anticipated film Ikkis has exceeded expectations at the box office, registering a healthy opening on its first day of release. The film collected Rs 7.28 crore on Thursday, marking a solid start to its theatrical run and setting a positive tone for the days ahead.
Business showed clear momentum as the day progressed, with collections witnessing a noticeable jump in the post-noon and evening shows. The New Year holiday on 1 January 2026 played a crucial role in boosting footfalls, as audiences turned out in large numbers to kick-start the year with a big-screen experience.
Adding to the film’s appeal is the presence of legendary actor Dharmendra, whose final screen appearance is in Ikkis. His involvement has generated strong emotional interest among fans and cinephiles, contributing significantly to the film’s initial buzz and turnout.
