At the GlobeTrotter event in Hyderabad, actor Prithviraj Sukumaran shared his admiration for SS Rajamouli, calling him “India’s greatest contemporary filmmaker.” Reflecting on his 25 years in cinema, Prithviraj spoke passionately about his collaboration with Rajamouli, describing the filmmaker’s storytelling as “audacious” and “revolutionary.”

“I was hooked within the first five minutes of his narration,” Prithviraj said, marveling at Rajamouli’s ability to craft such bold, imaginative stories. The actor went on to praise the challenging nature of the project, admitting the “torturous” shooting process but emphasizing that it was all worth it. “Rajamouli knows how to extract the best from his actors,” he added.
Prithviraj also recalled his first experience watching a Telugu film, Mahesh Babu’s Pokiri, calling it a pivotal moment in his cinematic journey. Reflecting on his latest venture with Rajamouli, he said, “This film deserves you.”
For the actor, working with Rajamouli represents a step into new cinematic territory, one that promises to be more audacious than ever before.
Directed by SS Rajamouli, the movie stars Prince of Tollywood Mahesh Babu along with Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Prithviraj in crucial roles and will see a 2027 release.
