The wait is nearly over for movie buffs, as the much-anticipated film Vrusshabha, starring the legendary Mohanlal in the titular role, is all set to hit the screens this Christmas on December 25, 2025.
The official update was shared by Mohanlal himself via his social media handle. Announcing the news, the actor wrote, “Some stories are more than cinema, they’re legacies. This Christmas, witness that legacy roar to life in #Vrusshabha. A film that celebrates emotion, grandeur, and destiny. Releasing worldwide on 25th December 2025.”
Directed and written by Nanda Kishore, Vrusshabha is backed by Connekkt Media and Balaji Motion Pictures, in association with Abishek S Vyas Studios. The film features an ensemble cast that includes Samarjit Lankesh, Ragini Dwivedi, Nayan Sarika, Ajay, and Neha Saxena, adding to the film’s diverse and multi-layered lineup of characters.
While the makers have kept the plot tightly under wraps, industry buzz suggests that the film will explore themes of legacy, destiny, and powerful familial bonds, all set against a backdrop of fantasy action. With Mohanlal leading the narrative, expectations are sky-high for a mix of intense drama, large-scale visuals, and high-octane sequences.
Vrusshabha is produced by a powerhouse team including Shobha Kapoor, Ektaa R Kapoor, CK Padma Kumar, Varun Mathur, Saurabh Mishra, KKumar, Abishek S Vyas, Praveer Singh, Vishal Gurnani, and Juhi Parekh Mehta.
