National crush and pan-India star Rashmika Mandanna has officially kicked off shooting for her first-ever action thriller, titled Mysaa. The film, which promises to showcase the actress in a bold and powerful new avatar, began production in Hyderabad following a traditional pooja ceremony held on July 27.

Taking to his Instagram handle, Ravikiran Chowdary Madineedi shared a BTS video and wrote, “And it begins…Every story finds its rhythm before the first frame. In the whispers of waterfalls and forests,in the calm before creation —the vision starts to breathe. Athirapilly | Kerala | #MYSAA.”
A New Chapter for Rashmika
After charming audiences with her performances in Pushpa, Animal and Thamma Rashmika is now stepping into uncharted territory with Mysaa, a female-led action drama rooted in the mysterious world of the Gond tribes. Sources close to the team describe her role as “intense, fierce, and emotionally layered.”
In Mysaa, Rashmika Mandanna plays a Gond tribal woman who stands at the heart of a high-stakes conflict, blending cultural authenticity with gripping action. The actress reportedly underwent extensive physical training and combat prep to embody the role.
Mysaa marks the directorial debut of Rawindra Pulle, with cinematography by Shreyaas P Krishna and action choreography by Andy Long, known for his work on major international action films. The project is produced by Unformula Films, with the team promising a cinematic experience that combines tribal heritage, adrenaline-pumping stunts, and emotional storytelling.
