Thamma and Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat Box Office Collection Day 1: Strong Start for Ayushmann Khurrana's Horror-Comedy!

Ayushmann Khurrana and Rashmika Mandanna’s horror-comedy Thamma, directed by Aditya Sarpotdar and produced by Maddock Films, had an impressive opening at the Indian box office. According to early estimates, the film raked in Rs 25.11 crore on its first day.

Despite a relatively sluggish start during the morning shows, Thamma witnessed a strong surge in footfall by evening, fueled by positive word-of-mouth and solid reviews.

Meanwhile, Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat, a romantic drama headlined by Harshvardhan Rane and Sonam Bajwa, opened to moderate collections, earning Rs 10.10 crore on Day 1.

While the film didn’t match the high numbers of Thamma, its genre appeal and fan following of the lead pair helped bring audiences to theatres. Initial responses suggest a mixed reception, and the film’s performance over the weekend will depend heavily on audience feedback and word-of-mouth growth.
