Actress Rashmika Mandanna recently took to Instagram to share the exciting and unexpected story behind her new song “Tum Mere Na Huye” from the upcoming film Thamma — and fans are loving the behind-the-scenes magic.

According to Rashmika, the song wasn’t even part of the original shooting plan. The team had been filming at a “very, very stunning location” for nearly 10–12 days when, on the last day, inspiration struck. “Our producers and our director suddenly had a banging idea where they went like… ‘Wait, why don’t we shoot a song here? 💃🏻 It’s a crazy cool location, so why not,’” she wrote.
With her signature charm and enthusiasm, Rashmika replied, “Whyyyyy notttttt,” and just like that, the team went into full action mode. In only 3–4 days, what started as a last-minute idea turned into a beautifully executed song.
Looking back at the final cut, Rashmika said the entire team was “massively surprised” at how it all came together. She didn’t miss the chance to thank every single person involved — from the dancers and costume department to the lighting crew, set designers, directors, and production team. “This song was possible ‘Cz of your hard work.. ❤️”
She also gave a sweet shout-out to the characters featured in the song: “They are now your Tadaka and Alok ❤️” — adding intrigue for fans eager to learn more about the story and the dynamic between these two characters in Thamma.
Rashmika ended her post with a warm message for fans: “I hope you love them, feel them, dance with them and enjoy watching them.” 💃🏻
Directed by Aditya Sarpotdar, “Thamma” features Ayushmann Khurrana, Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Paresh Rawal.
