Bollywood superstar Salman Khan has completed a grueling schedule in Ladakh for his much-anticipated film Battle of Galwan. The movie, inspired by the intense and heartbreaking Galwan Valley clash that took place between Indian and Chinese forces in 2020, promises to shed light on one of the most dramatic and tragic confrontations in modern Indian history.

According to an independent industry source, “Salman Khan and the crew shot in Ladakh in 2–3 degree temperatures, braving low oxygen levels and extreme conditions. While the schedule lasted 45 days, Salman was there for 15 days, shooting despite physical injuries. This truly speaks volumes about his dedication to his craft. With this update, excitement has only grown to see what he has in store with this film. There’s very little time for the star to recover from his injuries, as the second schedule is set to begin soon.”
While most of the film has been shot at real locations, some of the big action sequences will be shot at a massive set constructed in Mumbai with a big set of actors donning the avatar of army officials. “The second schedule is an important one for Battle of Galwan, as the director aims to shoot not just action, but also the emotional moments of the film,” the source informed, quick to add that Battle of Galwan will be wrapped up by the end of 2025, for a 2026 release.
“The exact time of release has been kept under wraps for now, and the makers will announce it in due course of time.”
Directed by Apoorva Lakhia, it also stars Chitrangada Singh and features music by Himesh Reshammiya.
