Bollywood star and producer Alia Bhatt is stepping into new creative territory once again, this time with a young-adult drama series for Amazon Prime Video. Through her production banner, Eternal Sunshine Pictures, Bhatt is teaming up with Chalkboard Entertainment to bring a slice-of-life campus story to the streaming screen — and she’s doing it with a refreshing twist.

As per a report in Peeping Moon, the narrative will be “in the zone of Wake Up Sid, but from a girl’s point of view,” offering a refreshing perspective on youth, aspirations, and personal growth. Filming is expected to commence in October.
Marking her directorial debut, Sreeti Mukerji — known for her assistant director work on Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani and Brahmastra — is helming the series. Her experience with youthful, vibrant storytelling positions her well to handle the emotional nuance and aesthetic appeal this genre demands.
In an exciting move, the series will introduce four debut actors in lead roles, with casting focused on real-life 20-somethings. This approach not only lends authenticity to the performances but also signals Bhatt’s commitment to nurturing new talent — much like Karan Johar once did for her.
Amazon has yet to announce a release date, but production is slated to begin in October 2025, with casting currently underway.
