The highly anticipated mythological epic Kantara Chapter 1, directed by and starring Rishab Shetty, has officially completed shooting. The makers, Hombale Films, celebrated the milestone by unveiling a powerful behind-the-scenes video titled “World of Kantara”, offering fans a glimpse into the film’s immense scale, spiritual depth, and labor-intensive production.
Hombale Films, the production house producing the eagerly awaited film, took to its X timeline to share the link to the glimpse video.
It wrote, “Wrap Up… The Journey Begins. Presenting #WorldOfKantara ~ A Glimpse into the making. #KantaraChapter1 has been a divine journey, deeply rooted in our culture, brought to life with unwavering dedication, relentless hard work, and incredible team spirit. Can’t wait to see you all in theatres on October 2nd, as this legendary tale unfolds on big screens worldwide.”
The original Kantara, released in 2022, was critically and commercially well acclaimed, and went from a quiet hit into a cultural phenomenon. It was one of India’s top-grossing films. It also established Hombale Films’ strength in mixing deep-rooted stories with big-screen spectacle, a formula they’re refining again here, even as they prepare for Salaar: Part 2 – Shouryaanga Parvam.
With filming now complete, post-production is ongoing in full swing. Kantara: Chapter 1 is all set to light up the screen October 2.
