Production banner Hombale made big announcement on Monday regarding their new venture with director Prashanth Neel and the Sollywood rocking star Yash. As per the announcement, the upcoming film is titled as ‘KGF’, and will be released in Telugu, Tamil & Hindi languages on a wide scale.
The film has so far been shot in Kolar, Bengaluru and Mysuru. “In our upcoming schedules, we plan on visiting Kolkata, Mumbai and Ladakh as well, apart from more shoots in Mysuru and Bengaluru,” adds Karthik who also says that after the success of Raajakumara, they are excited to venture outside Karnataka with this ambitious project that has raised a lot of expectations.
The movie is a complete period drama and is set in the 70s and early 80s. Yash will be seen essaying the role of Rocky, a slick and a suave person belonging to 70s era.”We have the reigning Miss Supranational Srinidhi Shetty as our heroine. Apart from Yash and Srinidhi, the film will also star actors Achyuth Kumar, Vasishta N Simha and B Suresha.
A technical team, which includes cinematographer Bhuvan Gowda, music director Ravi Basrur and art director Shivakumar, have worked towards creating the ambience and look of that era. Some of the Kannada actors onboard include Achyuth Kumar, Vasishta N Simha and B Suresha.
We are also looking at Ramya Krishna and Nasser joining our crew in later schedules,” adds Karthik. The cinema team is right now, shooting at some spot, as we speak. The film is all set to be released by the end of this year, 2017.
