White Second Day Box Office Collection
Megastar Mammooty’s “White” and debutant Shane Nigam’s “Kismath” were released in Kerala on Friday, July 29, and both the movies have opened to mixed response from the audience. The first day collection of Uday Ananthan-directed movie “White,” which also stars Bollywood actress Huma Qureshi, is said to be Rs. 0.75 crore* (estimates). It has received a below average opening despite being a movie starring a top actor. Meanwhile, according to trade analysts, Shanavas K Bavakutty’s debut directorial venture made a collection of Rs. 2.01 lakh from the multiplexes in the city.
With end of today performance does not seems very entertaining by figures revealed due to different reasons. Movie is being enjoyed by some youth and couples mostly but we are getting sort of mixed reactions regarding White performance. Third day business of White is predicted to be much better and positive than its first 2 days as it is the main weekend and there are not much options for the audience to go and enjoy their weekend with. Saturday business was not much and closed at only 0.95 crores*.
Overall occupancy of film on its second day was around 40% only which is being hoped to rise up by tomorrow. Despite of mixed reactions from public, Anushka’s character and performance has got good approach and Neil acting has also amazed little audience quite well. Mammootty plays a billionaire Prakash Roy in the romantic entertainer “White,” which is narrated in the backdrop of London.
The movie tells the story of a middle-aged man falling in love with 25-year-old Roshni Menon, played by Huma. The actress makes her acting debut in Malayalam opposite the megastar in this movie. “Kismath” is based on a real life story of a 23-year-old Muslim boy and a 28-year-old Dalit girl that unfolded in Ponnani, Malappuram in 2011. The film marks the debut of comedian Abi’s son Shane, in a lead role opposite Shruthy Menon.
