Welcome Back 6th Sixth Day Collection- Wednesday Box Office Business Report

Welcome Back 6th Day Box Office Response

Anees Bazmee’s latest outing “Welcome Back” has struck gold at the box office. In four days, the Bollywood film has grossed over Rs 100 crore worldwide. “Welcome Back” had earned a record-breaking Rs 69 crore at the domestic box office and a net income of Rs 51 crore in the first weekend. From the overseas circuit, it earned Rs 21.38 crore, taking its first weekend total collection to Rs 90 crore. The business remained strong on Monday too with the film earning Rs 7.52 crore (net) at the domestic box office. Early predictions from the trade confirm that the gross business of the film has crossed the Rs 100-crore mark. Readers should not confuse the gross collection with the celebrated Rs 100-crore net business as the film has a long way to go before joining the elite club. “Welcome Back” is likely to reach the Rs 100-crore club by the end of the week. The five day domestic net collection of the movie stands at Rs 64.67 crore. Still Welcome Back is looking on a safe side but we can’t predict anything so perfectly at box office.

When it comes to the occupancy, the audience turnout may have dropped by 50% as compared to its opening day or any other day in the first weekend but it is a normal phenomenon that a film witnesses post first weekend. In other words, working Monday always sees a big drop in business for a non A-list actor’s film. It will be the third movie of John Abraham if “Welcome Back” joins the elite club. Earlier, his “Housefull 2” and “Race 2” had made Rs 100+ crore business in India. For director Anees Bazmee, this is the second film after Salman Khan starrer “Ready”. Welcome Back maintained its good stride on Wednesday too. The film collected 5.90 crores* on its sixth day. It now stands with a total collection of 70.57 crores* at the domestic box office. If we consider the current pace of the movie, then it is aiming to cross 75 crores in its first week.
