Wajah Tum Ho Review by Top Critics
Wajah Tum Ho was expected to have loads of steamy scenes, sans a good story and many thought that the film would be typecast as just another B grade Bollywood film. However, director Vishal Pandya has proved the notion wrong. Bollywood movie Wajah Tum Ho is an erotic thriller, starring Sana Khan, Gurmeet Choudhary, Sharman Joshi and Rajniesh Duggall. It is a murder mystery, in which Sana (Siya) and Gurmeet (Ranvir) play the characters of lawyers, Sharman (Kabir) is seen as a cop and Rajniesh (Rahul) portrays the role of a businessman.
Wajah Tum Ho starts with someone hacking into a TV channel and airing a murder live on the channel, which shocks the city. Kabir starts investigating the matter and Rahul, being the owner of the concerned channel, becomes the prime suspect. While Siya and Ranvir are a couple, the former takes up the case defending Rahul and the latter fights the case against him.
With not much evidence against Rahul, Kabir starts digging for other aspects that may have a possible connection to the case and he succeeds in unfolding some other angles. Things get more chaotic after another murder goes live on the same channel and both the police and the lawyers remain clueless about the real mastermind. Who commits the crime in such a sensationalised manner and why makes the crux of the story.
Director Vishal Pandya has almost kept his promise of making Wajah Tum Ho an edge-of-the-seat thriller. There are a number of twists and turns that will keep the audience guessing about the murderer and then again another twist will undo the guesses. The director has mixed eroticism and thrill with a nice balance in the movie, making it a good entertainer.
Although Vishal has tried a different concept in Wajah Tum Ho with considerably good execution, there are some silly loopholes that cannot escape the viewers’ attention. The murder location has a very distinct and unique ambiance, but the police cannot trace it even though it is in the heart of the city. Secondly, the climax of the film will make you realise that considering it is a Bollywood movie, it has to have a happy ending, confronting basic logic.
