Indian superstar Ajith Kumar is setting fire at box office with his recently released Tamil action movie Vedalam. The movie was released on the occasion of Dhanteras i.e. on 10th of November worldwide with a screen count of one thousand approx. It has received very positive reviews from most of the critics as well as movie buffs. Audience find it very entertaining and created huge buzz about it everywhere. As a result movie is flying high at box office and has already grossed over 50 crores in its dominated regions of Tamil Nadu, where it has been released on 520 screens. At worldwide box office, it is only few yards away from the mark of 100 crores. Vedalam (Vedhalam) film was released on Diwali with mixed reviews but, according to trade reports this had film managed to collect a whopping amount of Rs 15.5 Crore on its first day. Even after not being a solo release from Kollywood, Ajith Kumar starrer Vedalam has achieved such good position at box office. Kamal Haasan’s Thoongavanam of same genre has also been released on the same day with it. Thoongavanam has received more positive response from critics but lagged behind the Vedalam in terms of business.


Vedalam 2nd Weekend Box Office Business Report

 Thala Ajith’s rocking action over took the mixed reviews and bagged Rs 78.85 Crore at the worldwide box office on its opening weekend reportedly. Now, according to the latest box office reports this film has collected Rs 106 Crore at the worldwide box office. It’s no doubt that, this film is striking gold in just eleven days of its release. Audiences are going gaga on this film. Film critics and audiences are strongly believing that, Vedalam (Vedhalam) will reach 200 Crore mark soon. Vedhalam is directed by Siva and it mainly stars Shruti Haasan, Lakshmi Menon, Soori, Thala Ajith and Thambi Ramaiah in lead roles.  The film was largely overshadowed by Vedalam and Bollywood release Prem Ratan Dhan Payo everywhere and has underperformed at box office. This family entertainer is also doing good business in Karnataka, Kerala. Week the Tamil flick vedalam has built a nett enterprise of Rs fifty in 1st. The Tamil movie could have performed a lot better without the rains. Vedalam is likely to gross that glorious 100 cr mark from India only soon enough and maybe second week is all that it needs.
