However, the fate of the film depends on its Monday collection, which is said to be a crucial one. Now it has entered in weekdays and as expected getting lesser response than weekend. On Monday, it started the day with an average occupancy and witnesses decent response now. Udta Punjab seems to collect near about 4.50 crores on its 4th day with almost 55% of drop than Sunday. At the end, the total domestic collection of the movie will become 38.30 crores*.

Meanwhile, “Udta Punjab” is now Shahid’s biggest opening weekend grosser. The film shattered the three-day records of “Shaandaar” (Rs. 33.51 crore) and “R… Rajkumar” (Rs. 30.59 crore) in India. “Udta Punjab,” produced by Anurag Kashyap’s Phantom Pictures and Ekta Kapoor’s Balaji Telefilms, is a hard-hitting take on the issue of drug trafficking in Punjab. The film features Shahid, Alia, Kareena Kapoor Khan and Diljit Dosanjh in the lead roles.
