This Friday released two Hindi offerings Tumhari Sulu and Aksar 2 are as expected lagging behind the adjacent Hollywood movie Justice League which has diverted major multiplex audience toward itself. Once again Hollywood is dominating Bollywood in it’s own pitch i.e. at Indian box office with a good margin.
Starring Vidya Balan in titular role, Tumhari Sulu has been released this Friday with good buzz among fans but unfortunately recorded lower footfalls in theaters than expected due to clash with Justice League. Although the film is getting positive reviews from everyone and has cent percent chance to take good growth over the weekend.
On Friday, Suresh Triveni’s directorial comedy drama Tumhari Sulu opened to a slow note of 10-15% and estimated to rake the business of 2.87 crores only with decent rise over evening and night shows in multiplexes across the country. On the next day i.e. Saturday, it showed surepb growth and collected 4.61 crores, raised it’s 2 days total collection to 7.48 crores.
While the another Hindi offering erotic thriller Aksar 2 has been released with least buzz among all new releases, and also not getting favorable response from critics as well as audience. This is the reason, it remained low throughout the opening day and likely to rake 1.44 crore. With slight rise, Ananth Narayan Mahadevan’s directorial garnered 1.85 crore and raised it’s 2 days domestic total to 3.29 crore.
On the other hand, superhero action adventure film Justice League has been released only in English language across India but still got a far better opening that both the Hindi films. Directed by Zack Snyder, this Warner Bros’ presentation reported 50-55% occupancy and likely to collect around 5.50 crores.
Despite positive word of mouth, Justice League showed 16% of jump on Saturday and garnered the business of 6.38 crores. With this, total 2 days collection of this action adventure drama has become 11.88 crores.
