Salman Khan’s latest offering, the war drama movie ‘Tubelight’ has completes its 3 weeks journey at box office on a disappointing note. This was year’s one of the most awaited movies but has not performed up to the expectations and slowed down so early. Despite mixed reviews of critics and wide scale promotions, Tubelight failed to accomplish the level that suits to the stardom of Salman. Tubelight is currently the 3rd highest grosser of 2017 after Baahubali 2 and SRK’s Raees.
In the opening week, with overall good note Tubelight raked the business of 106.86 cr, that includes 64.77 cr of weekend and 42.09 cr of weekdays. In the second week, it faced heavy drop and minted the total amount of only 11.65 cr that includes 8.25 cr of weekend and 3.40 cr of weekdays. Nobody expected such down market performance by the movie of Salman Khan. After the 2 weeks, total domestic collection of Tubelight was recorded as 118.51 cr.
In its third week, it received very low response through out and minted the amount of 0.73 cr in the weekend that includes 0.25 cr of Friday, 0.21 cr of Saturday and 0.27 cr of Sunday. In weekdays, witnessed more lesser response and done the business of 0.14 cr on Monday, 0.12 cr on Tuesday, 0.10 cr on Wednesday and 0.08 cr of Thursday. After 3 weeks, total collection of Tubelight is recorded as 119.68 cr on domestic box office.
Produced under the banner of Salman Khan Films, Tubelight also features Salman Khan’s brother Sohail Khan, Chinese actress Zhu Zhu, Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub, Yashpal Sharma, late actor Om Puri and Matin Rey Tangu in key roles.
