Akshay Kumar and Bhumi Pednekar starrer satirical comedy drama Rustom has enjoyed excellent performance in its opening week. After that despite fresh releases, it remained strong and registered decent business on box office across the country. In fact not only in country but from overseas market too, it reported quite impressive performance.
From critics also, Toilet Ek Prem Katha has received very positive reviews and as a result gained strong word of mouth. In its opening week, director Shree Narayan Singh’’s this satirical comedy drama remained excellent throughout and did the business of 96.05 crores with 51.45 crores of weekend and 44.60 crores of weekdays from Indian screens.
Despite several new Hindi offerings, TEPK successfully kept its pace maintained in the second week and raked the business of 28.35 crores, which was including 19 crores of weekend and 9.35 crores of weekdays. In its third week, the movie had newly released A Gentleman in opposite, even though it cashed the third weekend on a good note.
Viacom 18 Motion Pictures’ Toilet Ek Prem Katha registered the business of 4.50 crores in the third weekend, with 1 crore of Friday, 1.50 crores of Saturday and 2 crores of Sunday. Then in weekdays, asusual it recorded lesser footfalls in theaters than before. With 20% of drop than Friday, the movie managed to collect the amount of 0.80 crore on Monday.
With further declination in its business graph, Toilet Ek Prem Katha added the amount of 0.70 crore on Tuesday and 0.55 crore on Wednesday. On the last day of week i.e. Thursday, TEPK minted the amount of 0.45 crore and made its 3 weeks domestic total as 131.40 crores.
