Superstar Akshay Kumar starrer satirical comedy drama Toilet: Ek Prem Katha is ruling on box office from the very first day of release. After reporting excellent business in the opening week, the movie still has good hold over the audience and become the fourth highest grossing movie of the year so far by surpassing the lifetime total of Jolly LLB 2.
Directed by Shree Narayan Singh, Toilet: EK Prem Katha starring Bhumi Pednekar as a leading lady opposite to Akshay and undoubtedly both have given remarkable performances. With a brilliant acting by entire cast and solid content, the movie has received very positive reviews from most of the critics as well as audience and as a result reigning at box office.
In its first week Shree Narayan Singh’s directorial Toilet: Ek Prem Katha was raked massive business amount of 96.05 crores that comprises 51.45 crores of weekend and 40.60 crores of weekdays. Now the movie has entered in the second week and has witnessed good audience response in its second weekend.
It was minted total 19 crores in the weekend that includes 4 crores of Friday, 6.75 crores of Saturday and 8.25 crores of Sunday. As per report, it did the business of 115.05 crores from Indian screens till its second Sunday. Now once again, Toilet: Ek Prem Katha has to face low audience response due to normal working days.
On Monday, it witnessed more than 25% of drop than 2nd Friday and minted the amount of 2.60 crores as its 11th day collection. On the next day, it recorded slightly more drop and raked the business of 2.50 crores on Indian screens. Till the end of its 12th day, total collection of Toilet: Ek Prem Katha is calculated as 120.15 crores.
