Toilet: Ek Prem Katha 4th Day Collection, Passes Monday Test on a Good Note

Shree Narayan Singh’s directorial satirical drama Toilet: Ek Prem Katha (TEPK) has completed its opening weekend on an excellent note and gained strong word of mouth. As a result, it reported good hold over the audience on Monday also and added decent business total to its account in four days of release on domestic box office.

Being superstar Akshay Kumar starrer, Toilet: Ek Prem Katha has been released this Friday with immense excitement of his fans and witnessed very positive response from audience across the country. From critics also, the movie has received positive reviews which turned wind in its complete favor.

On the opening day it recorded decent occupancy of around 40% and did the business of 13.10 crore. On Saturday due to weekend & favorable reactions, Toilet: Ek Prem Katha showed impressive growth in its business and raked the business of 17.10 crores. On the last day of weekend i.e. Sunday, the movie witnessed more growth and minted the amount of 21.25 crores.

After the opening weekend, total collection of Toilet: Ek Prem Katha was recorded as 51.45 crores domestically. Now the movie has entered in weekdays and started getting lesser occupancy in theaters than early days. On Monday (Janmashtami Holiday), it faced 8.40% drop than Friday and added the amount of 12 crores, which has made its 4 days domestic total as 63.45 crores.

All associated with Toilet: Ek Prem Katha can well rejoice now as the 100 crore mark would eventually be crossed in quick time. It would then be a matter of whether it ends up in the vicinity of Jolly LLB 2 [117 crore] or goes beyond that as well. Nonetheless, that is still a story for a different day since as of now the film has given good enough reason to the industry for celebration and the jinx that had been plaguing Bollywood for a really long time has finally been broken.
