Ali Abbas Zafar’s directorial action-thriller Tiger Zinda Hai is running in its second week and still has very strong hold over audience across the country as well as overseas. Being year’s highly awaited, this Salman Khan starrer was released with enormous buzz among fans. The movie has got overwhelmed response from viewers and received super positive reviews from critics as well as moviegoers.
Despite fabulous collection numbers, Tiger Zinda Hai failed to become a critical success as its predecessor 2012’s Ek Tha Tiger. Tiger Zinda Hai has been panned by the critics some of which have called the film solely for the entertainment of Salman Khan’s fans and others have criticised the runtime of the film.
In the opening week, Tiger Zinda Hai witnessed phenomenal response through out and registered stupendous business of 206.04 crores, which includes 114.93 crores of weekend (Fri 34.10cr, Sat 35.30cr, Sun 45.53cr) and 91.11 crores of weekdays (Mon 36.54cr, Tue 21.60cr, Wed 17.55cr, Thu 15.42cr). Now the movie has entered in the second weekend and showing impressive growth in its business.
On its 2nd Friday, Ali Abbas Zafar’s directorial recorded minimal drop than the previous day and raked the business of 11.56 crore. On the next day i.e. 2nd Saturday being weekend time, Tiger Zinda Hai reported impressive growth in its occupancy and collected the amount of 16.63 crores, which made its 9 days total collection as 234.23 crores and surpassed the lifetime total of Sajid Nadiawala’s Kick (231.85 crores).
Now that Tiger Zinda Hai is done, Salman Khan will get busy with Race 3, to be directed by Remo D’Souza and later with Bharat, his third collaboration with Ali Abbas Zafar, which will be produced by Salman’s brother-in-law Atul Agnihotri.
