“Sultan” is inching towards Rs. 300 crore mark at the domestic box office, but the low collections in the start of its fourth week hints that it might not be able to touch the mark. However, trade analysts are positive that “Sultan” will touch Rs. 300 crore mark by its fifth week run. Directed by Ali Abbas Zafar, the sports drama features Salman and Anushka as wrestlers. The film also features Amit Sadh, Randeep Hooda and Kumud Mishra in the pivotal roles. “Sultan,” the biggest blockbuster of 2016, was released on July 6 worldwide.
Despite the new release, Sultan remained unaffected and reported the business of 3.06 crores in the weekend with 0.57 crore of Friday, 0.98 crore of Saturday and 1.51 crore of Sunday. After its fourth weekend, total domestic collection of the movie was recorded as 296.86 crores. Sultan 28th Day had a nice begin overall. Today being a weekday, the film earned comparatively lower business and stood up with 36 Lacs* as its 28th day income. Box office collections of Sultan have got an insignificant decrement with the past two weeks. Only the evening and night shows are helping it out to receive a respective sum at the big screen. The occupancy have gone down too much due to release of new movies like Kabali and then Dishoom and now the collections for the entire day on normal comes up to only 20 percent at most. Next weekend might turn a decent favor for Sultan.
