One Week released two among several Hindi movies, Simran and Lucknow Central have completed their opening week journey on an average note. Both received mixed reviews from critics and witnessed lower response at box office than expected. Second week of the film needs a miracle to shine among the flood of new releases (Newton, Bhoomi, Haseena Parkar & Kingsman: The Golden Circle).
Simran is still stable at the box office, raising a hope of ray for the buyers of the film. Kangana Ranaut’s this film directed by Hansal Mehta needs this pace to be maintained for a long time to end its box office race with a respectable total.
In the opening weekend, on an average note Simran did the business of 10.65 crores that included 2.77 crore of Friday, 3.76 crores of Saturday and 4.12 crores of Sunday. Now the movie is running in weekdays and asusual getting lesser footfalls in theaters than before. Then in weekdays, it faced usual drops and minted the amount of 1.41 crore on Monday.
With further drops, the movie raked the business of 1.25 crore on Tuesday and 1.16 crore on Wednesday. On Thursday, Simran collected the amount of 1.01 crore and raised it’s opening week total collection to 15.48 crores at domestic box office.
On the other hand, Lucknow Central starring Diana Penty, Gippy Grewal, Rajesh Sharma, Inaamulhaq, Ravi Kishen, Ronit Roy and Deepak Dobriyal scoring low collections and disappointing the public. In the opening weekend, it registered the business of 8.42 crores that included 2.04 crore of Friday, 2.82 crore of Saturday and 3.56 crore of Sunday.
Then in weekdays, asusual Ranjit Tiwari’s directorial faced abrupt fall in occupancy and bagged the amount of 1.14 crore on Monday. With further drops, it added the amount of 1.02 crore on Tuesday, 0.91 crore on Wednesday and 0.77 crore on Thursday. With this, one week total domestic collection of Lucknow Central has become 12.26 crores.
