Simran and Lucknow Central 6th Day Collection at Domestic Box Office

Lucknow Central is another release of this week scoring low collections and disappointing the public. Both the movies, Lucknow Central and Simran, got a mixed response from public & critics alike. Also in weekdays, both are struggling to stay steady at domestic box office.

Simran and Lucknow Central 6th Day Collection at Domestic Box Office

Simran is a story revolving around an independent girl who wants to own a house and live life on her own terms. The problem arises when she gets addicted to gambling and stealing. This isn’t out of choice, though, this is out of need. Hansal Mehta, who has directed this, has given us some memorable films in Shahid & Aligarh.

In the opening weekend, with below-expected response it registered an average business of 10.65 crores, that included 2.77 crore of Friday, 3.76 crores of Saturday and 4.12 crores of Sunday. Now the movie is running in weekdays and asusual getting lesser footfalls in theaters than before.

On Monday, Simran did the business of 1.41 crore with 49% of drop than Friday. Then on Tuesday it dropped little more and collected the amount of 1.25 crore. On the next day i.e. Wednesday, it minted 1.16 crore and raised it’s 6 days total collection to 14.47 crores at domestic box office.

On the other hand, helmed by Ranjit Tiwari, features actors like Farhan Aktar, Diana Penty, Gippy Grewal, Rajesh Sharma, Inaamulhaq, Ravi Kishen, Ronit Roy and Deepak Dobriyal. It got limited audience outside the Maharashtra region and did the business of 8.42 crores in the opening weekend. That included 2.04 crore of Friday, 2.82 crore of Saturday and 3.56 crore of Sunday.

In weekdays, this one too getting lower footfalls than before due to normal working days. On Monday, Ranjit Tiwari’s directorial witnessed 44% of drop than Friday and collected 1.14 crore. Then on Tuesday, it collected 1.02 crore with further drop. On Wednesday, Lucknow Central raked the business of 0.91 crore and raised it’s 6 days total domestic collection to 11.49 crores.
