Satyameva Jayate 1st Day Collection, John Abraham’s Film Opens Superbly Well in India

John Abraham starrer Satyameva Jayate has been released on Wednesday on 2500 plus screens across the country. Because of huge pre-release hype among his fans and audience as well, the movie has taken good start on box office but due to clash with Akshay Kumar’s Gold, it has reported lesser footfall in theaters than expected.

With its strong content, Satyameva Jayate has impressed all the viewers and got very favorable response from them. From critics, the movie is getting mixed reviews but the audience has liked it and showing thumbs up, as a result, it has gained a good word of mouth.

On the opening day, Satyameva Jayate started the day with solid occupancy of 40-45% and showed good growth from evening shows in multiplexes. Overall it has recorded 50-55% of occupancy across India and minted the amount of 20.52 crores on domestic box office, which is better than John’s previous release Parmanu – The Story Of Pokhran (4.82 cr).

Also, it has registered the biggest opening of John Abraham’s career, beating the record of 2013’s Race 2 (15.12 crores) and Housefull 2 (14 crores) Everyone found Satyameva Jayate a worth watch movie and creating very good buzz about it on social media.

The film’s primary plot revolves around John Abraham’s character, who plays a vigilante who takes it upon himself to bring justice to those who cannot protect themselves. Satyameva Jayate also stars Manoj Bajpayee, Aisha Sharma and Amruta Khanvilkar in pivotal roles. Directed by Milap Zaveri, the film has been produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Monisha Advani, Madhu Bhojwani, and Nikkhil Advani.
