Sarainodu / Sarrainodu 4th Day AP/T Box Office Report
Regional films from India continue to perform strongly in the U.S., with Telugu action-romance Sarrainodu as the latest success. Starring Allu Arjun, Aadi Pinisetty, Rakul Preet Singh and Catherine Tresa and directed by Boyapati Srinu, the film raked in an estimated $590,000 in three days on 154 screens in the U.S. Released on 950 screens across Telugu states in India, the film produced by Allu Aravind’s Geetha Arts collected an estimated 35+ crore in its first three days. That is shaping as the biggest opener of Arjun’s career, beating S/O Satyamuthy and Race Gurran, and the third best debut for a Telugu release this year behind the Pawan Kalyan starrer Sardaar Gabbar Singh and writer-director Sukumar’s Nannaku Prematho.
Today the film has completed its four days on box office and with the end of Monday on positive note, it seems that this film can do better and run smoothly in weekdays too. If Sarainodu manages to do so then it will really stand high on first week report. Anyways, by now the fifth day income is not that good as past 4 days but still stands around 3.5 crores* from AP & Telangana regions; which makes its performance graph good enough on the negative side too. In spite of not too classy or unique film content, Sarrainodu still emerged out as a good commercial film. Its wide audience i.e. family, kids, youth, mature i.e. everyone on the whole contributed as big favor for it.
Expectations from film were high and in 4 days of release it seems that the film has been capable of entertaining most of the audience. Anyhow, First half of the film has been loved by most of the audience in comparison to the second half as first half was filled with lots of punches, drama etc whereas second half seemed also good. In addition to it, absence of any other interesting movie near it has also acted as a manipulator for the film in attracting audience more. Movie on totality reported decent occupancy on its fourth day of release in spite of today being working day which indicates low income due to weekdays it has received positive feedback.
