Sarainodu (Sarrainodu) 5th Day Box Office Collection
“Sarainodu” (Sarrainodu), starring Allu Arjun and Rakul Preet, has concluded the first weekend with a decent collection at the Andhra Pradesh and Telangana (AP/T) box office. It has become the third highest grossing Telugu film in the opening weekend in 2016. Before its release, “Sarainodu” had created lot of hype and expectations and its makers had massively promoted the film, which was released in 960 screens in both states on April 22. Backed by robust advance bookings, the movie opened to fantastic response and collected Rs. 14.40 crore at the AP/T box office on the first day. It became the biggest opener for Allu Arjun and Boyapati Srinu.
“Sarainodu” (Sarrainodu) gathered mixed reviews from the audience, and the word-of-mouth feedback slightly affected its collection on Saturday. The movie was expected to show a big leap on Sunday, but failed to achieve that. The film has grossed Rs. 7 crore on its second day and Rs. 7.25 crore on its third day in the Telugu speaking states. “Sarainodu” has collected approximately Rs. 28.65 crore gross at the AP/T box office in the first weekend. Its three-day distributors’ share stands at Rs. 21.72 crore.
Its AP/T theatrical rights were sold for Rs. 40 crore and the movie has been successful in earning over 50 percent of the distributors’ investment. The film is expected to fetch them another 25 percent of investment on weekdays. Now the movie has entered in weekdays and asusual started witnessing lower response than weekend but still stands decent. On Monday it faced considerable drop and added the amount 3.50 cr* to it account as its 4th day collection. Film created lot of sensation on box office with its entry on day one due to releasing on non weekend day and from then it has been running positively throughout every day.
Today being 5th day for the film, it is about to complete its first week on box office by afeter tomorrow and by now it has collected good amount in its name. Today on its 5th day, the total collection of Sarrainodu stands at 3.10 crores* (AP & Telangana). After a rocking first weekend business film has done nice job in weekdays too and Tuesday in spite of being a full working day resulted in good source of income for the film. Where the first weekend saw a trend setting income, in the weekdays also it maintained its reputation among the viewers by doing a decent business. Film has crossed its first weekend and now it is passing from the weekday’s trauma as usual but not seeing too high drop in comparison to Bollywood movies that are running dull right now on screens.
