Sanam Teri Kasam Critics Review & Star Rating

Star Rating:- 3.5/5

Upcoming Bollywood Romance film “Sanam Teri Kasam” is all set to hit the screens tomorrow. This film is directed by Radhika Rao and Vinay Sapru and produced by Deepak Mukut. The film stars Harshvardhan Rane and Pakistani actress Mawra Hocane in lead roles. The soundtrack is directed by Himesh Reshammiya. Lyrics were penned by Sameer Anjaan, Shabbir Ahmed, Himesh Reshammiya, Subrat Sinha.

According to Critic Rashma Shetty, “Mawra Hocane and Harshvardhan Rane’s chemistry saves this over dramatic romantic film from becoming a pain. The story is simple and very similar to the popular TV show Jassi Jaisi Koi Nahi. An ugly duckling gets an amazing makeover and her life changes. Only this time around there is a soap opera sort of over the top track involving a strict father who decides to do his daughter’s last rites because he’s disowned her from the family. If you can let that awkward and unnecessary scene pass then the first half of Sanam Teri Kasam isn’t that bad. There are ample moments that showcase the natural chemistry of the leads Mawra and Harsh.

In fact their pairing sort of reminds you of Aditya Roy Kapoor and Shraddha from Aashiqui 2. Harsh gets enough screen time to show off his well chiselled torso and Mawra, post makeover, is stunning. In fact, even her pre makeover look as the demure Saraswati is likeable. We only wish she didn’t sob that much all the time. While it looks cute the first few times, later on it sort of loses the charm. Harsh and Mawra are easy around each other and the first half takes a break on an interesting note. We wonder where the story will go post interval.”

Joginder Tuteja, A film with newcomers often promises to throw a surprise or two. However, expectations are even higher when one of the top composer-lyricist duo, Himesh Reshammiya and Sameer Anjaan, come together to support these newcomers with an out and out musical. Moreover, director duo of Radhika Rao and Vinay Sapru know a thing or two about music, as has been proven with their earlier two films, Lucky – No Time For Love and I Love NY. One plays on the music with good anticipation. The soundtrack of Sanam Teri Kasam pretty much meets the good expectations one had from it. With as many as four chartbuster material songs in there, expect this one to soar further high in weeks to come.
