Sanam Re Review by Top Critics
As ‘Sanam Re,’ a romantic-musical with Pulkit Samrat, Yami Gautam and Urvashi Rautela keeps its Valentine’s weekend date at the cinemas, director Divya Khosla Kumar talks about what went into making her second directorial venture extra special. Sanam Re produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar and co-produced by Ajay Kapoor. In this movie Rishi Kapoor appear in crucial supporting roles. The music for Sanam Re is composed by Mithoon, Jeet Ganguly, Amaal Mallik, and Epic Bhangra. Raju Singh has composed theoriginal background score. The lyrics are penned by Rashmi Virag, Mithoon, Manoj Muntashir, Manoj Yadav, Ikka Singh andKumaar.
The music rights of the film have been acquired by T-Series. Since her production house also owns also an established music label T-Series, it has always been their endeavour to give great music to the audience. Divya says, “Bhushan has worked hard along with the composers to create this soundtrack. I choreographed the songs myself and I’m happy to hear praise for the way the songs have turned out.”
Sanam Re has a hit director, Divya Khosla Kumar, backing the show after Yaariyaan. Though the cast [Pulkit Samrat, Yami Gautam, Urvashi Rautela] doesn’t have bumper hits behind them, the pairing is fresh. What is working in the favor of the film big time is the music and the visuals. Considering the fact that the film is backed by T-Series, these factors are a given, as seen in majority of their productions so far. Moreover, the film is looking like a quintessential romantic entertainer.
