First Day Collection of Sachin A Billion Dreams
Fans are eagerly waiting for their Ramzan treat when the cricket God will be on the silver screen. We are talking about none other than Sachin Tendulkar, who is bringing his life story to the big screen in Sachin: A Billion Dreams. This is not a proper commercial movie like M.S.Dhoni The Untold Story. Sachin himself will tell his story in the movie.
Set to be released on May 26, Sachin A Billion Dreams has been given tax exemption in Odisha, Kerala and Chhattisgarh. The movie is expected to have an opening day collection between Rs. 7-9 crore. A few single screens in Chennai, Hyderabad and Pune are already filled. And other cities’ pre-booking stats are also pretty good. As it is not a commercial Bollywood movie, it’s a bit difficult to predict its opening collection.
Directed by James Erskine, Sachin- A Billion Dreams is being released on 2400 screens across the country and has registered decent advance booking at box office so far. But as it has been filmed in a documentary style, so it won’t be easy for the film to attract large audience toward theaters. Although Sachin Tendulkar is the pride of India and also entire Bollywood is promoting his biopic, so we can expect more from it.
But still further performance of the film after Friday, will depend only on the reactions of viewers. If Sachin- A Billion Dreams gets positive word of mouth, then will rise, otherwise remain almost flat over the weekend. So, all you Sachin fans out there, what do you think? The movie will hit theatres tomorrow in five languages – Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Marathi and English.
