7 Days Collection of Sachin A Billion Dreams
After the good opening weekend, James Erskine’s directorial highly awaited Sachin A Billion Dreams remained strong and come closer to the mark of 50 crores at domestic box office. Being the docu-drama of India’s most favorite cricketer Sachin Tendulkar, the movie has been released with enormous hype and received overwhelmed response from audience across the country and overseas as well.
Since there are lots of small Bollywood releases, this Sachin Tendulkar biopic will face screen crunch in its 2nd week. In its opening weekend, the movie had witnessed good occupancy of more than 50% through out and did the business of 27.85 crores across the country with all versions. The weekend total included, 8.40 crores of Friday, 9.20 crores of Saturday and 10.25 crores of Sunday.
In weekdays, asusual Sachin A Billion Dreams faced heavy drop in its occupancy than weekend but still managed to stay strong. On Monday with almost 49% of drop than Friday, it raked the business of 4.20 crores. With further decrements, it registered 3.50 crores on Tuesday and 3.05 crores on Wednesday. On the last day of week i.e. Thursday, the movie reported slight more drop than previous day and as per the report added the amount of 2.40 crores to its account.
This made the opening week net total collection of Sachin A Billion Dreams as 41.20 crores on domestic box office. Directed by James Erskine, the film has contributions from Sachin’s family, popular sports commentators Harsha Bhogle, Boria Majumdar and Gideon Haigh. Also, popular Indian players like Virat Kohli, M S Dhoni and Virendra Sehwag are seen sharing their experiences with the legend. Members of the film and sports fraternity have already given the tale a thumbs up.
