Sachin A Billion Dreams the highly awaited movie of the year, is cashing the good response on box office across the country. North to South & East to West, everywhere positive waves of this sports docu-drama. are flowing. This immense craze of audience shows that Sachin Tendulkar is not only a name of Indian cricket team’s skipper but it is an emotion of every Indian.


From the last year, James Erskine’s directorial Sachin A Billion Dreams is strongly buzzing among fans and has been released this Friday with enormous hype. Due to its inspirational content and beautiful performances, the movie has received super positive reviews from most of the critics as well as moviegoers.

On the opening day, Sachin- A Billion Dreams reported strong occupancy of overall 40-45% across the country and did the business of 8.40 crores from 2400 screens including Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Marathi and English languages. On Saturday, because of strong worth of mouth it remained strong on box office and minted the amount of 9.20 crores with almost similar occupancy.

Then on the last day of weekend i.e. Sunday, being holiday the movie reported higher response than last two days and added the amount of 10.25 crores to its account. With this, opening weekend total collection of Sachin A Billion Dreams has become 27.85 crores on domestic box office. The movie is positively expected to remain strong in weekdays as well.

Directed by James Erskine, the film has contributions from Sachin’s family, popular sports commentators Harsha Bhogle, Boria Majumdar and Gideon Haigh. Also, popular Indian players like Virat Kohli, M S Dhoni and Virendra Sehwag are seen sharing their experiences with the legend. Members of the film and sports fraternity have already given the tale a thumbs up.

Responding to the praise coming his way on Twitter, Tendulkar wrote in one post: “For me, it’s always about intention rather than expectation. We gave it our 100 per cent. So glad you liked it.”
