Roy 9th Day Box Office Collection
When a film takes the best opening day and the second best weekend of the year, one expects a lot from its lifetime perspective. However, “Roy” couldn’t really survive after two good first days. If Sunday saw a fall in collections with India v/s Pakistan match playing a spoiler, the weekdays kept seeing a gradual fall. As a result, the film collected a little over Rs.41.77 crores at the box office, which is a low total if one compares it with the Rs.29 crore opening weekend that the Vikramjit Singh directed affair had enjoyed. Talking about Friday collection, as expected film showed huge dip in its collection, mainly due to the released of Varun Dhawan’s “Badlapur.” On its 2nd Friday, film managed to collect just about Rs.2 crores at the domestic box office. The film’s performance might have been average, but for the producers it has turned out to be a profitable film. The producers invested Rs.40 crore to make the movie and they have already earned the cost. That’s not all, the Arjun Rampal, Jacqueline Fernandez & Ranbir Kapoor starrer is the second highest grosser of the year so far.
