Roy 4th Fourth Day Box Office Collection – Monday Income Report

Roy 4th Day Box Office Collection

Arjun Rampal, who was missing from the silver screen for a very long, was quite nervous about his film Roy but the film has turned out to be the biggest opener of 2015. The film collected Rs.10.40 crore on its opening day and the thriller has definitely set the cash registers ringing by earning Rs 21.56 crore in two days. While critics have slammed the film for its befuddled plot, weekend opening coupled with Valentine’s Day has fuelled the ticket sales. As expected ‘Roy’, which also features Arjun Rampal, opened with good occupancy rate in the multiplexes and turned out some good numbers at single screens too. One of the most anticipated films, this romantic thriller is expected to have a good showing on Saturday because of Valentine’s Day but Sunday could be a downer because of the India-Pakistan match at the Cricket World Cup. The film is a love triangle revolving around the lives of a filmmaker, a thief and their mutual love interest. Roy also stars Ranbir Kapoor and Jacqueline Fernandez in lead roles.

After a slew of underperforming films in the beginning of the year, this week we saw the release of two starkly different films, ‘Roy’ and ‘MSG: The Messenger of God’ whose box office collections journey is expected to take starkly different routes. The latter features Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh Ji Insan (Guru ji), who incidentally has a massive following of devotees in northern territories. As per earlier reports, the film is expected to collect in the range of 7.12 crores on its 3rd day. Film has earned more than Rs 28.68 crores in its opening weekend. Meanwhile, trade experts are expecting that “Roy” will fare well and end the dry spell at the box office. “Roy” that was made in the budget of Rs.30 Crores with additional Rs.10 Crores for P & A, has already sold its satellite rights at Rs.25 Crores, overseas rights for Rs.6 Crores and its music has also already earned another Rs.6 Crores.
