Roy 11th Day Box Office Business

Ranbir-Arjun starrer “Roy” which hit the screens on 13 February, carried positive pre-release buzz, but the film failed to live up to the expectations and faring ordinarily at the box office in its second week. “Roy” does not seem to have garnered too many positive responses from the audience and critics and hence, this could be one of the reasons why this Vikramjit Singh directorial film with a superb star cast could not manage to pull in the crowd. After a poor 2nd weekend, “Roy” experienced the expected drop on its second monday collection. The film collected merely Rs.40 lakh on its 11th day. The film is running in over 400 screens which is decent but it is not capitalizing much. It has shown a huge drop in the mass circuits and over all the urban centers too have failed to pick up. The film songs that garnered great response and are topping the music charts helped the marketing and promotions of the film and gave the right buzz for the film. But since the word of mouth is average, the film is not performing exceptionally well.
