Rathavara (Kannada) First Day Box Office Collection
Sri Murali and Rachita Ram starrer Kannada movie “Rathavara”, which is also spelled as “Rathaavara”, has has opened to positive reviews from the audience. “Rathavara” is a special movie for Sri Murali’s fans in many ways and mainly because he is back in action avatar after superhit “Ugramm”. Hence, the expectations are high from this film. Adding to the trailer has garnered good response, thereby making the audience wait for the release with bated breath. Sri Murali is the story of an ultimate warrior and expected to be a complete treat for action lovers but the makers promise to give rightful screentime for all the other commercial elements as well in the story without compromising on the quality of the product.
Rachita Ram plays the female lead with Charan Raj, Ravi Shankar, Sadhu Kokila, Chikkana, Narendra Babu, Chitra Shenoy, Bhajarangi Lokesh and others in the supporting roles in”Rathavara” directed by Chandrashekhar Bandiyappa. Dharma Vish has compose the music, Bhuvan Gowda has handled the cinematography and Srikanth is the editor of the flick.
“Rathavara” has garnered good reviews from the audience. People have liked the unique plots and the brilliant performance of Sri Murali. The first half brilliant sets the tone for the second half, which lags the required punch in the screenplay. Sri Murali is the show stealer along with Ravi Shankar, say viewers.
The appealing and highly sensual promos of Rathavara seem to have worked with the audiences and the early trends look favourable. Released in close to 250+ screens pan India, the film opened to 55 to 60 per cent occupancies in mass centres, while the metros were restricted to numbers in the range of 35 to 40 per cent, which is also a decent one. If the trends continue to hold and the film picks up in the evening shows, there is a likelihood that collections may cross Rs 2.50 crore* but the film may face some backlash in terms of reviews.
