Don’t Drink and Drive Dialogue from Raees

Aamir Khan’s Dangal has witnessed a success like no other! It perhaps is the best film in terms of the content on offer and the moolah it has generated. But now we are waiting for King Khan to showcase his magic! Ever since we have seen the trailer of Shah Rukh Khan‘s Raees co-starring Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Mahira Khan, we have been raving about the film. Raees is about the story of a don. The film is set in 1980s Gujarat. It tells the story of the eponymous bootlegger Raees Khan ( played by Shah Rukh Khan) whose business is highly challenged and eventually thwarted by a police officer ( played by Nawazuddin Siddiqui). Mahira Khan plays SRK’s love interest in the movie.

Shah Rukh Khan is all set to make us swoon over his wicked character in Raees. After the impressive trailer and the entertaining dance track Laila, here’s a special message from Raees for new year. Shah Rukh is seen in this special video, urging his fans and audiences to not indulge in drink and drive over the New Year’s eve. Raees also marks the debut of Pakistani actress Mahira Khan and stars Nawazuddin Siddiqui in a key role. The film is slated to hit the theaters on 25th January,2017.

Shah Rukh posted a 20-second-long video on Twitter. In that, he says, “Party ka mahaul hai khoob party karo. Majnu banke laila ke saath naacho, Lekin sharaab peeke gaadi mat chalao. (Live up the party mood. Dance with your beloved, but don’t drink and drive.”  He captioned the video: “This NYE (New Year’s Eve), be smart not stupid. Don’t drink and drive. Love u all. Raees ki suno.”

The ‘Laila’ in his tweet is a promotional plug for his forthcoming film “Raees”, which features the song “Laila main laila”, a remixed version of the evergreen peppy dance track. Set against the backdrop of the prohibition in Gujarat, the film touches upon the way alcohol industry crumbled followed by several illegal activities. Shah Rukh essays the title role of Raees, a bootlegger. The film also has actor Nawazzuddin Siddiqui chasing him to expose his smuggling activities.
