Shah Rukh Khan’s Raees Grosses 100+ Cr in 6 Days

After witnessing tremendous response in weekend at box office, now Shah Rukh Khan starrer Raees has entered in weekdays and due to super strong word of mouth, still getting excellent response from audience in India as well as in overseas. This crime drama based film has been released on this Wednesday and opened up with storming performance. In the opening weekend, Raees has grossed excellent business figures throughout and emerged as the first hit film of the year. All critics have reviewed it with very positive comments and showed big thumb up. Everyone is appreciating the efforts of entire team.

The film would be SRK’s seventh film to make it to the prestigious club. Rahul Dholakia’s directorial clocked around Rs 93.24 cr during the weekend setting a record of the highest ever weekend with two or more releases. The film which continues to rule the box-office collected Rs 17.8 cr on Sunday. With such a brilliant run at the ticket counters on day five, ‘Raees’ went on to record the highest ever weekend collection in January besides witnessing the highest ever day with two or more releases.

The film starring Pakistani actress Mahira Khan as Shah Rukh Khan’s leading lady and Nawazuddin Siddiqui in a prominent role also recorded the highest ever collection on Republic Day with a whopping Rs 26.30 cr. That’s a lot of records for the Shah Rukh Khan starrer. Sunny Leone also features in the film albeit in a special number, a remix of the yesteryears dance number ‘Laila Main Laila’ in the film. The release of ‘Raees’ clashed with Hrithik Roshan and Yami Gautam’s suspense thriller ‘Kaabil’ which is fast inching close to Rs 70 cr at the box-office.

Now it has entered in weekdays and being normal working days, the film is expected to face drops in its business. The excitement of viewers towards Raees is touching sky, which is resulting out in incredible performance of the film. On Monday, it has faced a drop of approx. 40% and still minted the handsome amount of 8.25 crores as its fourth day collection. Till the end of the day, total collection of the film is recorded as 101.49 crores.
