Raees 11th Day Collection, SRK’s Film Makes Good Business on 2nd Saturday

King Khan Shah Rukh Khan’s recent offering, the crime thriller film Raees is enjoying tremendous run on box office become the first movie of the year so far to enter in 100 crore club in just 7 days. The Rahul Dholakia-directorial features Shah Rukh Khan in and as Raees and the film’s box office collection is seeing a good run since its release. After beating Jai Ho and Agneepath’s lifetime record, Raees has surpassed the collection of Akshay Kumar’s Airlift. Shah Rukh seemed to have broken the January jinx as it has crossed Rs 100 crore before entering February.

Most of the Bollywood films that has released in January couldn’t surpass this record and now, Raees has beaten Akshay 2016 release Airlift’s lifetime record. Last year’s January release, Airlift, has earned Rs 128 crore at the domestic box office. But, Raees has crossed Airlift’s collection in just 10 days of its release. In the opening week, Raees was raked higher business than the adjacent one Kaabil and gave good lead to it. It was did the business of total 109.01 crores on Indian screens that includes 93.24 crores of weekend and 15.77 crores of weekdays.

The day-wise collections are as follows- Wed 20.42 cr, Thu (Republic Day) 26.30, Fri 13.11 cr, Sat 15.61 cr, Sun 17.80 cr, Mon 8.25 cr, Tue 7.52 cr Wed 7.10, Thu 6.25, 2nd Fri 6.60 Total 128.96 cr. Now the movie has entered in its second week and heading towards setting more records. On the next day being weekend, the movie recorded almost similar response and collected 4 crores. Till the end of its 11th day, total collection of Raees is recorded as 132.96 crores on Indian screens.

The Shah Rukh-starrer’s domestic gross box office collection will also enter Rs 200 crore club pretty soon. Raees has become the first movie to collect the highest revenue on Republic Day holiday. This movie has turned out to be SRK’s seventh film to cross Rs 100 crore mark. Raees has beaten the lifetime collection of the Bollywood movies released in January in past five years. Airlift, Baby, Agneepath and Jai Ho are a few movies that were released in the first month of last five years.
