Raaz Reboot First Week Box Office Collection
Raaz Reboot is on the same lines as Akira. The film should have a Week One collections quite similar to that of Akira [Rs. 26.39 crore]. The A.R. Murugadoss directed film had opened on a lesser note [Rs. 5.15 crore] when compared to Raaz Reboot [Rs. 6.3 crore] but had then held a little better during the weekdays (also due to a partial holiday on Monday). In case of the Emraan Hashmi film, though the weekend [Rs. 18.09 crore] was better than Akira [Rs. 16.65 crore], the weekdays haven’t been as strong.
Due to initial hype, Raaz Reboot took decent start on box office but received mixed reviews from critics as well as moviegoers. This melted down all its craze and made it the second choice for audience after Amitabh Bachchan’s Pink, which is running strongly and has taken good lead over Raaz Reboot. In the opening week, Vikram Bhatt’s directorial witnessed almost flat business graph. On Friday it registered the decent business of 6.30 crores, major contribution was made by single screen cinemas.
Due to mixed reactions of audience, it faced drop on Saturday and registered 5.49 crores. On the last day of weekend i.e. Sunday, Raaz Reboot showed slight rise and raked the business of 6.30 crores. After the weekend, total domestic collection of the movie was recorded as 18.09 crores. Now it is running in weekdays and getting lesser response than weekend as expected. On Monday with 60% of drop than last Friday, it minted the amount of 2.61 crores.
Then on Tuesday, it recorded more drop and collected 2.27 crores. On Wednesday, again it witnessed drop and added the amount of 2 crore* to its account. On the last day of week i.e. Thursday, Raaz Reboot started the day with slightly lesser response and collected the business of 1.50 cr* as its 7th day collection. After a week, total collection of the movie is recorded as 26.50 cr* on Indian screens. This film has under-performed at the box office and will lose maximum screens in its 2nd week, post the release of Riteish Deshmukh’s Banjo.
