Day 2 Collection Report of Raaz Reboot
Raaz Reboot starring Emraan Hashmi, Kriti Kharbanda and Gaurav Arora opened to a decent total at the box office on day one. Despite receiving mixed reviews from the viewers and critics alike, Vikram Bhatt’s horror flick did a good business in single screens and mass circuits. However, multiplexes in urban areas were left empty owing to the negative reviews and weak promotions. Raaz Reboot is collecting well at the single screens. Emraan Hashmi’s last few films [Azhar, Hamari Adhuri Kahani, Mr. X, Ungli, Raja Natwarlal, Ghanchakkar, Ek Thi Daayan] were all catering primarily to multiplex audiences. Unfortunately, none of them emerged as good successes. However, the one which did – Raaz 3 – was a very big success and that film had done well in multiplexes as well as single screens.
Now that Emraan Hashmi has returned to his home turf with Raaz Reboot – a film catering entirely to the masses – the collections of 6.3 crore at the least lend a positive beginning. Raaz Reboot is the fourth installment of the popular Raaz franchise. Audiences who spent their valuable money to watch Raaz Reboot in theatres, felt the horror element in the film was average. However, they gave thumbs up to Emraan Hashmi’s negative act and liked him in a different avatar this time around. The movie, which started with a good pace in comparison to its rival, is expected to make around Rs. 6.45 crores* on the second day.
While Amitabh Bachchan and Taapsee Pannu starrer Pink is receiving rave reviews from the audiences, its strong word of mouth might overpower Raaz Reboot’s box office collections. Director Vikram Bhatt has chosen deep, dark forests and other exotic locales in Romania as the setting of this horror film.
From a long time, Emraan Hashmi is seeking for a hit but nothing going in favor. His last much anticipated sports biopic Azhar had not performed well on box office and crashed down in couple of weeks after the release. The latest one is going decent so far, let see how it will perform after the weekend. Let’s wait and watch how it will fare at the box office in the days to come.
