Raabta 5th Day Collection, Sushant-Kriti’s film struggles to Pull crowd

5 Days Total Box Office Collection of Raabta

Sushant Singh Rajput and Kriti Sanon‘s Raabta was one of the most exciting films of the year, however it did not live up to anyone’s expectations. Though the collection is not so bad, we expected Raabta to perform better. With more than 1820 screens at its disposal and a considerable buzz before the release. In fact, even the fantastic performances by Sushant and Kriti could not save the movie. The poor screenplay, the done and dusted genre and the faltering story line lead to film’s downfall.

Raabta 5th Day Collection

On the opening day, Dinesh Vijan’s directorial Raabta witnessed below average occupancy and did the business of only 5.61 crores from Indian screens. On Saturday, unfortunately it showed no growth in its business graph and added the almost similar amount of 5.11 crores to its account.

On the last day of weekend i.e. Sunday too, Raabta flushed all the expectations of fans and remained on ground with 5.21 crores on business on its third day. After the opening weekend, total collection of the movie was recorded as 15.93 crores. Now it is running in weekdays and getting very less footfalls in theaters due to normal working days.

On Monday, this romantic drama faced massive downfall of around 60% than Friday and raked the business of only 2.53 crore. Then with further declination, it minted the amount of 2.25 crore and made its 5 days domestic total as 20.71 crores. With such disappointing performance so far, Raabta is likely to get a tag of ‘box office disaster’.

While Rangoon [22 crore] and OK Jaanu [19 crore] would be comfortably surpassed, Hindi Medium [25.21 crore] would be a challenge. Incidentally, makers of both Raabta and Hindi Medium are the same.
