Pratyusha Banerjee Suicide Case
The untimely death of Pratyusha Banerjee Friday, April 1, has shocked her fans as well as the Television fraternity. Even as reports have been doing the rounds that the actress took the drastic step due to her troubled relationship with boyfriend Rahul Raj Singh, more details on Pratyusha’s troubled life have surfaced. The buzz is that the duo was in Carnival mall in Mumbai, Friday, when they got involved in a heated argument resulting in Rahul slapping the actress in public. Apparently, Pratyusha fell down due to the impact of the slap and was not offered any help to get off the ground.
Later in the evening, the 24-year-old actress was found hanging from a ceiling fan in her apartment in suburban Kandivli. Anyhow, The post-mortem report of Pratyusha Banerjee’s body reveals ‘suffocation’ as the cause of death, reports ANI. The reports also mentions ‘asphyxia’ and that ligature marks were also seen around her neck. The post-mortem report has confirmed that it is a ‘clear case of suicide’, says ANI sources. However, even though no foul play can be seen, it is not completely ruled out as well, said the sources.
24-year-old Pratyusha was found dead at her home on Friday in a suspected case of suicide. Reason for the extreme step is not yet known, but Banerjee was reportedly facing problems in her relationship with boyfriend Rahul Raj Singh. Her boyfriend was questioned by Mumbai police on Saturday. According to police, the actress, Prima facie, committed suicide in her flat in ‘At Harmony’ building at around 17:00 hours yesterday after which she was taken to Kokilaben Hospital in suburban Andheri (Mumbai) by her friend where she was declared dead. Also, no suicide note was found from the flat.
