Sunny Deol, Bobby Deol, Shreyas Talpade’s latest collaboration was released with good buzz but recorded lower occupancy in theaters than expected. The movie gained much hype with it’s trailer and music, but unfortunately itself got failed to impress critics as well as audience after the release. As a result, the movie failed to take show growth over the weekend.
Poster Boys is the official remake of Hit Marathi movie Poshter Boyz. It is the story of three common men, who accidentally become the face of a vasectomy advertisement. Shreyas Talpade’s directorial started the journey at box office on a decent note and did the business of 7.25 crores in the opening weekend, that included 1.75 crores of Friday, 2.40 crores of Saturday and 3.10 crores of Sunday.
Now it is running in the weekdays and getting lesser footfalls in theaters than before. With around 34.3% of drop than Friday, Poster Boys managed to collect 1.15 crores on Monday and 1 crores on Tuesday from approx. 1000 screens.
On the next day i.e. Wednesday, it recorded heavy drop and raked the business of 0.90 crore. With this, 6 days total collection of Sunny-Bobby-Shreyas starrer has become 10.30 crores at domestic box office.
On the other hand, Arjun Rampal starrer crime drama Daddy also got failed to attract audience toward theaters. In the opening weekend, it fetched the business of only 4.60 crore, that included 1.30 crore of Friday, 1.50 crore of Saturday and 1.80 crore of Sunday. On Monday, with 41.4% of drop than Friday Ashim Ahluwalia’s directorial minted the amount of 0.75 crore and 0.60 crore on Tuesday.
On the next day i.e. Wednesday, Daddy reported more drop and scored 0.45 crore, to make it’s 6 days domestic total as 6.40 crore. Last week’s offerings Baadshaho and Shubh Mangal Saavdhan are getting better response than the new ones in this week.
