12 Days Total Collection of Pink
This year hasn’t been a very good year in terms of movies. Only a few Bollywood films have been able to leave a lasting impression on viewers and one such movie is Pink. Starring Amitabh Bachchan and Taapsee Pannu, Pink has got everyone talking! The storyline of the film has been praised vividly and not just fans but Bollywood actors too cannot stop raving about the film. Although the film had a great start at the box office, the numbers have slowly gone done recently. The film kicked off with a tremendous start but the numbers have dipped in the last weekend.
Trade analyst Taran Adarsh shared the box office numbers. “#Pink [Week 2] Fri 3.15 cr, Sat 5.49 cr, Sun 6.57 cr, Mon 1.98 cr. Total: ₹ 53.10 cr. India biz. STEADY!,” he tweeted. In fact, Amitabh Bachchan’s Pink has already made a good enough profit. Our trade expert had already revealed that Pink was made on a budget of Rs 20-25 crore and after collecting over Rs 35 crore in its first week, it is only making profit. Then on the next day i.e. Tuesday, it reported little more drop and estimated to add the amount of 1.75 crore* to its account. With this 12 days total collection of Pink will become 54.85 crores* across India.
Our trade experts had predicted that Pink will earn 3 to 3.5 crore in its first day but it proved everyone wrong by earning 4.3 crore. Since then it has seen an amazing ride. In fact, it has already crossed 50 crore and earned twice the number it was made on. The film approximately was made on a budget of 25 crore and has already earned 50 crore. It is now just making profits. But what is even more amazing is the trend it has set. A film sees nearly 60-70 percent drop on its second weekend but Pink saw only 29 percent, as was revealed by Taran Adarsh.
Pink’s success can be attributed to the fabulous storyline and the powerful message that it gives out. Amitabh and Taapsee’s brilliant act is commendable too! Riteish Deshmukh’s Banjo and Radhika Apte’s Parched released the next week after Pink, but the Amitabh-Taapsee starrer has shown a sustainable growth at the ticket window. Will the numbers continue to dip or will positive word of mouth help Pink to sustain at the box office for quite some time
