8 Days Total Collection of Phillauri
Last Friday released Hindi movie, Phillauri has completed its opening week journey at box office on good note. The film opened decently, saw some momentum over the weekend and then had stable weekdays, albeit on the lower side. Nonetheless, all of that ensured that the 21 crore budgeted film (with 12 crore already recovered through satellite and music rights), was safe during the course of the week.
Phillauri is Anushka Sharma’s 2nd production venture after NH10. NH10 was one of the most profitable films of that year. Anushka Sharma has enjoyed a great 2016 with Sultan and Ae Dil Hai Mushkil and continues her successful journey in 2017 with Phillauri. Due to the presence of Diljit Dosanjh, the Punjabi superstar, Phillauri has performed best in northern markets, where maximum collections are contributed from Punjab.
The film is looking around for a lifetime business of approximately 30 crores. Since Naam Shabana and Poorna have released today, Phillauri has lost good amount of screens in its 2nd week, though the collections in its 2nd weekend will give the clear idea about its lifetime business.
In the opening weekend, Phillauri registered the business of 15.25 crores including 5.02 crores of Friday, 5.20 crores of Saturday and 6.03 crores of Sunday. Due to strong word of mouth, it received good response in weekdays and raked the business of total 7.43 crores including 2.02 crores of Monday, 1.95 crores of Tuesday, 1.81 crores of Wednesday and 1.65 crores of Thursday.
On its second Friday, Phillauri witnessed better response than new releases and added the amount of 1.30 crores* to its account. With this, 8 days total collection of the movie has become 23.98 crores* on domestic box office.
