Phillauri 2nd Day Collection, Anushka Sharma’s film picks up on Saturday

2 Days Total Box Office Collection of Phillauri

Anushka Sharma’s Phillauri received positive response from the audiences but mixed reviews from the critics. Directed by Anshai Lal’s this romantic comedy also stars Diljit Dosnajh Suraj Sharma and Mehreen Kaur Pirzada. As per reports, on the first day of its release the movie reported overall 20% of occupancy across the country for morning shows. Phillauri recorded highest occupancy of 35% in Delhi and Punjab, all thanks to Diljit Dosnajh’s stardom.

With end of today performance does not seems very entertaining by figures revealed due to different reasons. Movie is being enjoyed by some youth and couples mostly but we are getting sort of mixed reactions regarding Phillauri performance. Third day business of Phillauri is predicted to be much better and positive than its first 2 days as it is the main weekend and there are not much options for the audience to go and enjoy their weekend with. Saturday business was not much and closed at only 5.20 crores and its total box office collection is around Rs 9.22 crore.

The story of day one is the huge contribution from North India and Punjab given Diljit Dosanjh’s superstardom in this belt. North India has contributed 52 percent of the total Phillauri collections. Punjab collections are as high as how big A-list Bollywood stars collect in this state which is outstanding! The cost of the film makes it a profitable venture.

The film was made at a cost of 21 crore and has already recovered 12 crore from satellite and music rights. With only 9 crore to recover before the film release, this start of Phillauri only bolsters its profitability. Anushka Sharma will be next seen in Imtiaz Ali’s The Ring/Rehnuma, along with Shah Rukh Khan. The film is set to hit the theaters in August this year. This film will mark the third collaboration between Shah Rukh and Anushka Sharma after “Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi” (2008) and “Jab Tak Hai Jaan” (2012).
