Pathemari Expected Total Box Office Collection
Mammootty’s “Pathemari” has been in the news ever since it went on floors and after postponing the release date many times, the film is all set to hit the screens this week. “Pathemari” tells the story of Keralite immigrants in the Gulf countries and is inspired from the real life stories of many people, who left the South Indian State in an effort to earn a living and support their families. The new promo trailer released by the makers gives an insight about the struggles many people faced on their long journeys to Gulf countries years ago. The promo introduces the real life struggles of Abdu Rahman, Kamarudeen, Pushpangathan, Abdul Kadar among others, who left for Dubai long ago. The Salim Ahamed directorial is an untold story of separation, uncertainty, self-sacrifice, perseverance and survival. There are many plus points in the favor of movie which may support it to get good public attention and box office collection. No competition, low buzz running movies currently in theatres plus no festival falling this coming week might all prove as a decent favor for film making is lifetime collection to be around 30-35 crores* from India only.
On the whole, movie has chances to take a lead at box office and according to the audience pre release response; the expectations say that the film might do a decent but not outstanding business in its total lifetime. Final results will be seen only when the film will get released actually. “Pathemari”, which has megastar Mammootty as Pallikal Narayanan, is one of the most awaited releases of the year. The film also has “D 4 Dance” fame Jewel Mary, Sreenivasan, Joy Mathew, Salim Kumar and Siddique, among others in pivotal roles. Interestingly, the crew members of the film include Academy award winner Resul Pookutty, National award winners Pannanam Rasheed, Bijibal, Madhu Ambatt and Salim Ahamed. The film had missed the Oscar nomination by a whisker to Marathi film “Court”. Mammootty starrer “Pathemari” will hit the theatres on Friday, 9 October.
