Padmaavat (Padmavati) 4th Day Collection, Enters in 100 Crore Club Domestically

Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Sudhanshu Vats and Ajit Andhare’s production Padmaavat has cashed its 4-days extended opening weekend thoroughly on box office across the country as well as international market. Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh and Shahid Kapoor’s highly awaited movie, it has been released this Thursday with huge buzz among fans.

Audience found Padmaavat entertaining and showed thumbs up to it. The movie has all the useful ingredients which are required for a masala entertainer and as a result, it has received positive reviews from most of critics as well as moviegoers. Lead stars Deepika & Ranveer have given brilliant performances as always and are being praised by all.

In UP, Goa, Bihar and Haryana as well, Padmaavat hasn’t got a complete release. Despite all that, it opened to an excellent note and did the business of 19 crores which is the highest opening leading stars Ranveer Singh and Shahid Kapoor so far. A day before, Viacom 18 Motion Pictures’ presentation also had paid previews commenced from evening and collected 5 crores that made it’s opening day total as 24 crores.

On the next day i.e. Friday, there was a holiday on accounts of Republic Day. Due to which the film witnessed superb growth of more than 68% and collected 32 crores. On Saturday as well, the movie remained almost equally strong and minted the amount of 27 crores. On Sunday, once again it took good jump and garnered the business of 31 crores. With this, opening weekend total collection of Padmaavat has become 114 crores at domestic box office.

Having released in around 4,000 screens, Padmaavat has had the exact kind of opening that the makers were expecting to witness. Although the protests from Karni Sena has affected the film’s initial business to a great extent, it has made good and fast recovery as far as box office collection is concerned.
