Varun Dhawan and Banita Sandhu’s heartwarming tale of love and loss is not only winning hearts but also has managed to do a decent business at the box-office. October has completed its opening week on a decent note despite a slow start.
October has garnered positive response for Varun Dhawan and the entire cast of the film.The actor enjoyed a super hit innings at the box-office in 2017 with ‘Judwaa 2’ and ‘Badrinath Ki Dulhaniya’ and is happy with the response he got for this one as well.
October was released on last Friday with sky high expectations but due to low support it got decent response and did the business of 5.04 crores. Due to strong word of mouth, the movie picked up well and raked the business of 7.47 crores on Saturday and 7.74 crores on Sunday.
After the opening weekend, total collection of Rising Sun Film’s production was recorded as 20.25 crores from around 1683 screens across the country. Now it is running in weekdays and asusual getting lower footfalls in theaters than before due to normal working days. On Monday, Varun Dhawan starrer faced 46.40% of drop than the opening day and bagged the amount of 2.70 crores.
Then with further drop, it minted the amount of 2.61 crores on Tuesday. On the next day i.e. Wednesday, October garnered the business of 2.43 crores. On the next day i.e. Thursday, Varun-Banita starrer faced slight more decline and collected the amount of 2.25 crores and raised it’s 7 days total collection to 30.24 crores at domestic box office.
